The Design Process

The Design Process for any garden project should never be a daunting task and with Boxwood Gardens, we aim to make the entire process an enjoyable and very straight forward set of events.

First and foremost, you as the client will have your own wishes and desires for your own particular garden dream and together with guidance, ideas and input from ourselves, we can facilitate your personal outdoor project. We will be by your side, from concept to delivery.

Our team at Boxwood Gardens have between them literally decades of experience and hands-on knowledge of virtually every type of garden design and build discipline possible.

We are here to translate your ideas, concepts and wishes into reality as seamlessly as possible. We can provide creativity and inspiration and will offer suggestions, guidance and solutions every step of the way.

Initial Consultation

ConsultationThe initial consultation gives you the client, a chance to meet us, and for us to view your site and listen to your brief and individual requirements.

We can immediately offer guidance and suggestions and let you know just what is possible.

Site Survey & Analysis

SurveyThe Site Survey can be carried out at a time to suit you (including weekends) and will give Boxwood Gardens a chance to take an in-depth analysis of your proposed garden site.

At this point, we will also take direction from you as to your likes and dis-likes, things that you will definitely be requiring and those that you won’t.

Conceptual Garden Design

stock photo 12655769 garden planAs soon as we have had a chance to collate all of the data and your requirements, we will commence the process of producing 2D rendered drawings, 3D visuals, full planting schemes and any requirements for garden lighting.

Final Master Plans

Garden PlansThe Master Plans will show all final details of your garden project. These will include any patio/decking, areas of lawn, fencing, planting, water features/Art work, lighting/electrical, seating areas, garden structures (summer houses, sheds, pergolas etc.) or any other items or areas requested.

Submission of Estimates / Quotations

EstimateIf you choose to work with Boxwood Gardens for the construction phase of your garden project, then at this point we will provide detailed costings for all materials, tool hire, any required plants/trees, sub-contractors and any planning submissions that may have to be made.

Hard-side Construction Schedules

Feb 2011 008The Hard-side Construction involves all of the building work and will include any excavations, spoil removal, making good, brick/stone work, patios, decking, paths and any electrical installations that may be required. A schedule of start date, build duration and completion will be made to suit your own particular requirements.

Soft-side / Planting Schedules

PlantingThe Soft-side/Planting involves the construction of any lawned areas, any ‘dressing’ (garden art/features) and of course any planting including trees and hedges.
