How much do you charge?

Each and every project is totally bespoke. As a rough guide, garden maintenance starts from £20.00/ hour and recently completed design and build projects have ranged between £1,500 and £45,000. The easiest way to get an idea of the cost of any project or maintenance that you may have in mind, is to simply use our contact page for a totally free of charge, no obligation estimate from ourselves. Try it, we are more approachable than you might think.

Do you charge for an initial visit?

No. The initial visit is simply to make contact with yourself, listen to your requirements and get a general feeling for your particular project.

Do you charge for plans & surveys?

Yes. A proper site survey and subsequent plans take time and resources to produce correctly. A full refund however, will be made against any work that you may award to Boxwood Gardens. Surveys and Plans will cost between £50 - £1000, depending on the required work and specifications.

I am not a gardener but would love a great garden, can you help?

Absolutely. We are here to help and advise. Rest assured, the majority of our clients are not expert gardeners but all share the same desire to have a great garden.

I have loads of my own ideas, can they be included?

As long as your ideas are feasible, yes they can!

Is my project/garden too small?

No. We started off as a small company with big ideas and never forget where we came from. We are happy to consider all work, large or small scale.

Can I have a totally maintenance free garden?

It's difficult to promise a zero maintenance garden but if low maintenance is a requirement, with Boxwood Gardens, consider it done!

Can you build my garden in stages over several months or even years?

Yes. We have clients that have requested staged builds for a number of reasons. We can spread design and construction of your project over a time-line to suit you.

Can you provide garden maintenance/after care?

You bet we can! Garden maintenance is a major part of Boxwood Gardens business. We can offer a complete maintenance program for any of our garden constructions as well as taking on already established gardens.

Do you offer guarantees?

Yes. All work is guaranteed.

Can I see some of your previous work?

Of course. You can simply visit the portfolio section of this web site or feel free to contact our office where we can provide details of past clients that will be than happy to talk to you directly.

When can you start?

Start dates will depend on work awarded. For garden maintenance, in most cases an immediate start will be possible. For 'Design and Build' start dates depend on our present work load, time of year and specifications being agreed with yourself.

How long does it take?

Garden maintenance is usually provided on a minimum of half a day, charged hourly. Design and Build projects depend totally on requirements and specifications, time of year and seasonal conditions. A definitive finish date will however always be provided.

What is hard landscaping?

Hard Landscaping is defined as the full-on building part of any project and would include, excavations, brick/stonework, paving, decking, water features and electrical work etc etc.

What is soft landscaping?

Soft Landscaping is defined as the finishing or 'dressing' of your project. It would include, planting, installation of garden features/Art and providing any areas of lawn that may be required.

Can you design, build or maintain for the disabled?

Yes.We have designed and built and maintain gardens for the disabled and visually impaired.

Can I have artificial grass?

Yes. We are registered installers of Artificial Grass and are more than happy to install this as a low maintenance option if so required.

Does Boxwood Gardens have adequate insurance cover?

Yes. Boxwood Gardens are fully insured for employee/sub-contractor liabilities and are covered for public liability up-to £10 million. All relevant insurance policies are available for inspection. Please contact the office for further information.
